Next Wednesday, Mr.Sears’ classes will be having their first Dress for Success. Dress for Success is to prepare students for future serious interviews, whether it is for a job or getting accepted into a prestigious college. The students will be graded in their class hour and are allowed to change clothes after they are graded.
The guys are required to wear slacks and a dress shirt, polos and button ups are acceptable. Girls are not required to wear dresses, but can wear one if they choose. They can wear slacks, and skirts with a nice dress shirt. Blue jeans, joggers, hoodies, and t-shirts are not allowed. Students also are required to be clean, as in washed hair, clean nails, and clean skin.
Sears will be in charge of grading his classes outfits.
“Dress For Success is held the first Wednesday of every month as a way to encourage our students to learn about what to wear in the professional workplace,” Sears said. “As a class requirement, we try to make our students aware of how to dress for a job interview. They learn how the clothes they wear to a job interview can either make a positive impression helping them get them job, or how not dressing correctly might keep them from getting a job they really want.”
